Our unique Buddy Bench design puts a twist on the original Buddy Bench concept. Buddy Benches can teach empathy and build community when they are well integrated into school culture. But they can also become “bully benches” if there is no system in place to respond positively and promptly to children who are brave enough to admit they need a friend.
Marked with a universal image of children playing, DAS Buddy Benches allow schools and other organizations to develop their own systems for incorporating the benches into their community, while reducing the risk that children will feel labeled when they sit down. Our hope is that both friends and those in need of a friend will enjoy these benches, making your investment well worthwhile!
